The TUIK report for September 2025 confirms that the Turkish real estate market is undergoing a period of impressive expansion. During the month, 150,657 sale and purchase transactions were finalized nationwide, marking a 6.9% increase compared to the previous year's figures. These statistics serve as a powerful indicator of the market's enduring stability and robust liquidity.

Key Drivers of Growth

Record Cumulative Volume: The total transaction volume for the first nine months of the year has breached the 1.1 million mark, reaching 1,128,727 properties sold. This monumental 19.2% surge year-over-year highlights the exceptional appetite of both investors and consumers for Turkish housing assets.

Unwavering Secondary Market Dominance: The resale market continues to act as the primary engine, generating 68.7% of total sales volume (103,540 units). Growth in this segment was a commanding 7.8%, signaling high activity and quick turnover of existing properties. New construction also showed positive momentum, rising by 5%and capturing 31.3% of the monthly market (47,117 cases).

Geographical Liquidity Giants: Investment and consumer activity remains firmly concentrated in the major economic centers. Istanbul leads the pack, demonstrating the highest liquidity with 24,119 transactions. It is followed by Ankara (13,417) and Izmir (8,544), which stand as indispensable pillars of the national economy.

Niche Markets: The most modest sales volumes, confirming low liquidity, were recorded in less populated eastern regions: Ardahan (70 properties), Bayburt (117), and Tunceli (142).
