Alanya Secures Elite Beach Pro Tour Hosting Rights Through 2028, Eyes FIVB 'Centre of Excellence' Status

The Turkish resort city of Alanya is set to remain a fixture on the global sports calendar, having secured the right to host top-level international beach volleyball competitions (the Beach Pro Tour) for the foreseeable future.

This long-term agreement was formalized following a visit by a delegation led by Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik to the headquarters of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) in Lausanne, Switzerland. The extension confirms Alanya’s successful collaboration with the federation and its commitment to hosting major events.

This strategic decision validates Alanya’s reputation as one of the world's premier beach volleyball venues. As early as 2026, the city will once again welcome the world's most elite athletes. Beyond the elite tour, discussions are underway to grant the local volleyball center the status of 'FIVB Centre of Excellence,' which would transform it into a permanent international base for the training of athletes and coaches.
